Oh no you dih-n't...

...let that baby sit on the counter while you made cookies this afternoon!

...let that boy eat raw cookie dough!

...totally chickify that mantle while your husband was o-o-t (with decorations for your SIL's baby shower!)

{ah, isn't that dog sweet??}

...and let the 9 month-old eat cookies!

OK, maybe I did.

Ducks, Daisies, and The Color Purple

What do these ducks have in common...

...with this pile of goodies?

[...plus a few other piles...you can see the beginnings of extra crafty tendrils there at the top of the page. Those are piles of projects from days gone-by. I took a FLY 15-minutes (http://www.flylady.net/) to clean up the previous messes and really didn't get very far! ]

Anyway, besides causing my husband to heart attack, they have everything to do

with these three:

Stay tuned in the weeks ahead to see these items (plus others) turn into some integral parts to my SIL's baby shower...

Canonball!

As shouted from the top of Blue Mountain.

Before plummeting to the bottom in perfect canonball form.

Repeated by siblings.

And imitated by younger ones.

I am fun after-all.

Just Another Day...

...to be Matt. In all his creativity. And to 'practice football!' Today Matt begged me to play football with him. And then he decided it would be a great idea to turn his 'chucky warms' box(a.k.a. Lucky Charms to the rest of us)/guitar into a football helmet. 'Why not,' I thought. Here he is. He quickly learned to put his nose inside the box to prevent bruising when Mommy couldn't throw the ball too well (which happens more often than not). And boy can that kid throw. All last summer he perfected his 'pitcher's throw.' Now he's a veritable Peyton Manning. Football. Re: baseball, he thinks he's Albert Pujols. With blonde hair. And as a pitcher. Not as first baseman.

Daddy is home from sunny southern Cal. And having some crazy fun with the kids. They need it after all this RAIN and indoor time reading quietly by candlelight and singing hymns with Mommy. You know, cuz I'm just not this fun:

Even Riley thinks it might be fun to be hung upside down by his ... um, tail ... and swung like a pendulum by Daddy! But, he'll have to wait in line:

And yee, Dawgies, that boy ain't light.
Take it easy!

My First Post

I kid you not - I have written the following no less than 3 times. And I need to go to bed. But, here it goes again (because I am just that persevering). Or not.

So, I have been stalking my fair share of blogs for some time now and thought to myself, "Golly," (yes, really 'golly') "that seems like it might be fun." I am well aware that blogging has its downsides - like lack of anonimity. Or time-consuming addictiveness. But, as I tried to comment at http://emmafree.blogspot.com/ about her beautiful house, I was solicited to start my own blog and I thought, "Golly," (yes, 'golly') "why not??" And the rest, as they say (may be) history.

Why not today, the day my youngest son wore underwear on his head and nearly visited his cardiologist in his birthday suit (we are working on him [my son, not the cardiologist] - all of them - responding the first time asked to do something --- like when getting dressed!), we were hit-and-run (JERK) while at the hospital, my husband is off visiting his BFF from grade school half-way across the country, and I've enjoyed (at least) one margarita --- why not??

Here's my pic (golly, I feel all http://thepioneerwoman.com/ here!!!

So, enjoy. And maybe there will be other posts. And maybe not. Because I have to set priorities. And sometimes, that actually includes washing the Wiggles Undies (before they wear them...)

Blessings,

(yes, that's imitated from http://nestingplacenc.blogspot.com/ .)
